Care Respect Inspire

Library

We have a school library and resource centre where your child can borrow and read books in the same way as a local library. It is also an area where students can do school work on a computer during lunchtimes, break and after school.

Students often have library lessons with the librarian and English teacher, and in the first of these lessons they will be taught how to use the library and its resources and any rules they need to know.

Each time a book is borrowed it will be logged via the Library computer system. Students will be able to logon to the system and look at the library catalogue, renew and reserve books, and leave reviews.

Five books at a time can be borrowed for up to two weeks but if the student needs to have them longer, they can renew them.

The library is open every break time/lunchtime for all students and is a bustling hub of the school which often hosts a range of clubs which can be found in the extra-curricular booklet.
