World Book Day

Pensby celebrated World Book Day in style this year, with lots of our teachers dressing up as their favourite book character! We had Miss Kearney as Sherlock Holmes, Miss Hazlehurst as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz, Mrs Graham as Miss Trunchbull from Matilda, and many many more. All of our staff promoted reading throughout the day and encouraged our students to join in with our ‘book themed’ activities at break and lunchtime. We had a literary treasure hunt around the school and a Harry Potter themed Guess Who in the library. Everyone who finished one of these fun tasks could choose a free book! How amazing! As you can see from the photos, our students had a wonderful time.
