Welcome to Pensby High School

It is with pleasure and real pride that I welcome you to Pensby High School, my local secondary school. 

Everything we do has our students at its heart. Our community deserves a great school. We will always put your children and their success first, all my staff believe that.  Education is the single most important thing we can give our children and our moral purpose is to ensure that your children experience the widest possible curriculum, have the chance to experience new extra-curricular activities and are academically successful within our shared school community.

All of the staff and Governors at the school believe that every one of our students has untapped potential and that within our community they can be safe to be who they are, learn alongside their friends and develop into the adults we all hope they can be: care, respect and inspire is our shared belief.

We strive every day to ensure that the very best teaching and learning takes place in our school, all staff are committed to ongoing professional development, and we work with a number of organisations to support improvement, these include Challenge Partners, Prince’s Trust and local school improvement partners.

The school has come a long way in a very short time, with Pensby High School for Girls and Pensby High School for Boys merging together as a new school in September 2015.  By September 2019 the results our students gained placed the school in the top third of all schools nationally and the top 10% of similar schools.  This is a result of staff, parents and students sharing a view on how we are successful as a group, how we support the community as a whole and a lot of hard work by all involved.
